Yeah, just stay across the potomac in Arlington, Virginia. Take the subway into DC or drive. However, be aware that if you're driving in Arlington, if you take a wrong turn somewhere, you could accidentally enter DC armed. In some parts of DC, near certain government buildings, they have high tech scanners that can see in and through your car. An elderly couple got arrested because they had a gun in their RV. They made a wrong turn while driving.

Also, if you're keeping a gun in your Arlington hotel room, be carful of in room safes. Theiving hotel staff sometimes fix the safes so that it makes a nice latching sound when you shut it, but it actually doesn't lock. I pulled on the handle after I supposedly locked the safe, but it opened with ease. I left a note in the safe that said, "Nice try, donky donut holes," instead of my gun. I left my gun inside a ziplock bag underneath a pound of ice cream in the freezer.

When I came back, the note was gone from the in room safe, but the Glock flavored Blue Bell was still there....
