I believe the statistics for tobacco illness and death are false to a great degree also. I am sure it contributes to illness and death but in many cases there is no way to prove the cause of cancer or heart disease.

One guy I know developed bladder cancer. The doctor asked if he smoked and he replied he had quit about five years prior. The doctor told him the bladder cancer was caused by smoking.

I am not saying that smoking is not bad, I am saying I believe they played fast and loose with the statistics like they are doing with guns today.

If someone repeatedly puts out information that is later found to be false pretty soon no one will believe any information from that source.
