Re: FN FNAR

Ive done a little looking around and priced everything they have on it, as a package or everything on its own price is about the same. They have had this setup for sale for about a month that I know of. Might tell them I will get it if they throw in an extra mag. Worst they could say is no and I get...

Re: FN FNAR

Ive seen the price on the mags, and they are a little high. But then again this is not my AR so I don't really see the need for a dozen mags, maybe just 1 spare. I'm looking at a package deal w/ 20" heavy barrel, harris bipod, and Leupold Mark4 4.5X14X50mm for about $2500.00

FN FNAR

I am looking at adding a 308 to my safe. And am wondering if anyone has any personal experience with the FNAR other than what in on the blogs and magazine reviews?

Re: Thinking about a new carry gun. Suggestions?

I dont know. Had a buddy that carried a glock for his duty gun. It went done tow different times when he could least afford it to. When he needed it. He now carries a XD40.

Re: Thinking about a new carry gun. Suggestions?

Its hard to argue that there is anythign better than a 1911. It had stood the test of time and how many different combat situations. Sure some have limited problems but no weapon is 100% perfect 100% of the time. But after almost 100 years nothing even comes close to a 1911 IMHO other than maybe a H...

Re: Thinking about a new carry gun. Suggestions?

Nothing against Kimber. But to me there is not much difference other than price compared to a high end Springfield.

Re: Thinking about a new carry gun. Suggestions?

I had a Cold Defender in the safe. But It will sometimes lock open with two or three rounds left in the mag. I have had several gunsmiths look at it and neither can figure out what is wrong with it. Have changed springs, mags, and shot almost every factory load I can find. Sometimes it does it somet...

Thinking about a new carry gun. Suggestions?

Re: Tomball / Magnolia area range

Thanks for the info on the building. Wanted something a little closer to Tomball, but then again that would be closer to the house. Just dread the thought of 1488 traffic every day! Im looking at a few places off 2978 about half way between Tomball and 1488, on two on 249 just north of Tomball.

Re: Tomball / Magnolia area range

As far as area goes, I am looking for something just north of Tomball 249 or 2978. Price and zoneing are going to be major factors But probally something close to Hardin Store Road or that general area. I have been talking to several friends that shoot a lot about prices and will probally offer disc...

Re: Tomball / Magnolia area range

I have shot at several places that want you to shoot so slow that I would have been faster with a muzzle loader. It was sad. Sportsmans was great but it is almost a hour drive. Shilo has a nice setup but if you dont shoot a glock the guys behind the counter talked trash the two times I went. Shooter...

Re: Tomball / Magnolia area range

I would have no problem with double tap or rapid fire. Unless you practice it 1 you will never be any good at it and 2 will not be able to do it if you need it.

Re: Tomball / Magnolia area range

I dont consider "double tap" anything special. Specail use. Group renting one side, CHL & instructional / traning classes. Im probally not going to go as far as allowing full auto. But it would be considered if there would be enought busisness. As far as hours goes. Im still thinking a...

Re: Tomball / Magnolia area range

Will definatly have a two range setup. One for general use and another for LE / Competitions / and special use. I see no reason that we wouldnt be able to accomadate shotguns. I plan on it being able to handle 223/5.56 rounds so buck shot and slugs should be no problem.

Tomball / Magnolia area range

My Dad and I are looking into opening an indoor range in the Tomball / Magnolia area, and would like some feedback from anyone, espically from those in the area. We have been thinking about this for a few years and have decided to finally pull the trigger. And advise or suggestions would be a great ...
