If you let the NRA ratings expire, you will indeed need to retake the course to reacquire them. However, it is my understanding that you don't actually need to teach any classes to maintain the ratings, just pay the renewal fees (which can be for more than 1 year at the first renewal).howdy wrote:I became a Texas CHL Instructor in 2001 and at that time I was a NRA Basic Pistol Instructor.
