Return to “I hate the Un-affordable Obama Care”
I don't see what the problem is. This guy is just following the Democratic plan to avoid "job-lock". It's the new "American Dream", to follow your heart and spend the days practicing in a band, and smelling the flowers (or surfing).jmra wrote:Sickeningmojo84 wrote:Here's the guy.

Yes, I know it's a stunt. Doesn't mean he didn't purchase a policy that won't get used, though. If he SAID he purchased a policy, and he actually didn't, then he's lying again...mojo84 wrote:He didn't actually purchase it. It was just a symbolic stunt to make people think he is participating. His healthcare is taken care of by the military docs at our expense. Not sure about his family's though. Maybe that is who signed up on it.

That is definitely unique to Obamacare.
Anyway, I phoned my insurance agent and described what happened to him. He said that I should go ahead and try to call a navigator. He said that he has had other self-employed clients successfully navigate the process, but they had to bull their way through it by averaging income and so on. He also said that, of course, the danger is that if the system does not extrapolate your average numbers into something close to the actual annual number—like it did with me, see my previous post—then you risk understating your income and over-claiming your subsidy, and then you have to pay back the difference at the end of next tax year.......and that can add up to a LOT of money.
We are so screwed.
The only "medical" information they request is your age. But financial information? Bad as an IRS audit.Abraham wrote:Maybe, I missed it, but I didn't read of anyone being concerned regarding security problems when you apply for Obama Care, i.e., I.D. theft potential when you hand over all your personal particulars.
Nor, did I see anyone complaining about confidential medical information no longer being confidential.
Yeah, Obama care in general is outlandish, but the previous two concerns (among others) I brought up are why we're not signing my wife up.
We'll pay the fine.
I wonder if ObummerCare covers sex change operations so you can take advantage of those new coverages?03Lightningrocks wrote: The good news is that I will be covered to get my uterus removed, get a mammogram every year and get birth control pills. The bad news is, I like being a male so I don't get to take advantage of these new benefits.![]()
Must be really wet around your house. Do you supply galoshes for visitors?03Lightningrocks wrote: In my home, one is allowed to spit on the floor in any situation where they are forced to say the word, Obama.
