My advice: carry a chainsaw. Good luck on your land Sebis. I hope to be buying some in the near future also. Thanks, I am still looking. The problem is they aren't making any more of it (land) ;-) and it's hard to find it close, nice, affordable and big enough to shoot my guns on it. Going b...

Machete

Hello, I have a question for the legal scholars, I am planning on getting a machete to use for clearing brush on raw land, I am currently looking to buy a undeveloped land and yesterday we had trouble on getting to walk the property due to the tick brush. According to the penal code it is illegal to...

Couple of points I would like to make: 1. He made a good choice given the outcome BUT I don't think he could have known that the robbery wasn't going to turn violent. In the contrary, there was already a shot fired, AD or not. One would have a good reason to believe that it will turn violent on mome...

Re: Flashlight Review - Fenix vs. Surefire

Wow - taking a look at their variety of lights, I came across this one : http://fenix-store.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_51&products_id=171 The Fenix P1D maxed out at 135 lumens (even if only for an hour) out of a single CR123A battery! Standard mode of 72 lumens is still nearly twice the Sure...

Thank you all for your replies, valuable information. I guess I should buy one of those Bluetooth hands free headsets to keep the hands free (sic) while on call with 911.

Parking Garage Senario

Today I was few minutes away from surprising some thugs while vandalizing a Jaguar in our parking garage. I park on the last level underground and the car was parked on the level above near my path to the building entrance. What would you do in such a case, retreat back to my car until the incident ...

Also notice this...........the more gun controle they inflict on us, the more shootings that happen. And how many of the people doing the shooting are Law abiding citizens, how many LAWFULLY purchased the guns, how many hold a CHL?????? Not very many. Apparently, according to the initial reports on...

There is a provision in the law NOW that with written permission a CHL holder CAN carry. I don't know of any administrator that would touch that with a ten foot pole. I agree; therein, lies the problem. Even if carry at schools was NOT prohibited by penal code, every school would just post 30.06. I...

Why there is no bill to allow CCW in Texas schools?

I think is time to allow CCW in Texas schools, why there was no bill sent to the Texas congress? I think is time we all do something about this.

Speaking of shops, there is a Jewelry store in Uptown Park here in Houston that is properly posted. It cracks me up every time I walk by on my way to lunch and I smile at the armed guard inside :). Even if I could afford their prices I would never step foot inside, security guard or not. I think the...

Why would you shop there?
If it was a shop I was never going to step foot there, since there was a place where I HAD to go to drop and pick-up someone I simply parked on the street :>). There was no need for me get out of the car anyway.

My confusion comes from the places prohibited section where the driveway was excluded, but I guess that is not the case with 30.06.

30.06 Driveway Question

How valid is a 30.06 sign posted on the driveway in front of a building, is this legally preventing someone from driving on the driveway with a gun in the car? Reading the penal code leaves me confused :?:
