Re: Wanted to say hello to everyone
Well it seems maybe I was wrong about this forum. I think anyone that has any morals is prolly to scared to speak up. You guys ever watch the show Dexter? It can teach you a few things about morals if you have an uncontrollable urge to kill people. Do you know why Dexter is a hero in that show? Cause he only kills people if they are killers, if it is self defense, or if it is a mercy killing.
Are we on the verge of martial law? Cause when you can kill somebody when its dark and be a hero or kill them during the day and be a murderer, sounds like martial law to me.
I am sure you guys want me to stop voicing my opinion now so I am out.

Re: Wanted to say hello to everyone
Your telling me that I should not believe the news article? So if the news article was true then there is a possibility of foul play? Because if I am not mistaken that was the topic of this thread which was posted by a police lieutenant.XtremeDuty.45 wrote:Well lets see...their first mistake was...BREAKING THE LAW!5.0 svo wrote:FORT WORTH — A suspected burglar was killed and another injured when police say they kicked in the door of a southeast Fort Worth home Friday morning and were met by gunfire by the homeowner.
The shooting occurred about 11:30 a.m. in the 4400 block of Shackleford Street.
Sgt. Pedro Criado, police spokesman, said it appears that the two suspected burglars had just entered the home when the homeowner fired an unknown number of rounds at both men.
One of the suspects ran around the side of the house where he collapsed onto Collin Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene, reportedly from a gunshot wound to the head..
The other suspect, Criado said, ran to the men’s apparent get-away vehicle, a red Ford Explorer parked on Shackleford Street, where the homeowner again opened fire.
Police radio reports indicate that the suspect suffered gunshot wounds to the shoulder and head. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital in unknown condition.
The homeowner’s brother said Friday’s burglary attempt was the fourth his brother’s family had endured since moving in about a year ago.
The homeowner was being questioned Friday afternoon but has not been arrested. Police are continuing their investigation, Criado said
and if you believe everything that is reported that is your first mistake.
You know what, I think those guys are messing with me. Prolly a made up news article. Either that are the reporter is trying to raise suspicions.
Oh well at least I have shown that I have good morals.

Re: Wanted to say hello to everyone
If the police can release info saying that the man was running to his getaway car then they can tell us why it was justifiable.
Tell me why they are now posting my DL# and name on the same thread? I am starting to fear for my own life as well.

There is no justification in using deadly force against someone you observe street racing.
Read Chapter 2 of the Handbook issued to all CHL holders. It is dedicated to deadly force statutes:

Those people on the other forums are complete idiots, and will spend a VERY long time in prison if they ever commit an act like they brag about doing. They are obviously ignorant of the laws.
You break into my home you have intentions to do something wrong. Just because he/she intends to "just" burglarize does not mean that they will not escalate to murder.
I am not gonna take the time to ask them their exact intentions.
I have a family and I will protect them at all costs.
I will not feel bad for stopping a threat to my family.
You wanna break the law you have to be willing to pay the consequences .

Re: Wanted to say hello to everyone
Come on dude we are trying to have a respectable conversation about this topic. I can offer a point of view that most of you can not. I am not a criminal. I do not break into peoples homes or anything else for that matter. I would be willing to take a lie detector test to prove it. Before anyone even starts throwing dirt into the fire I will tell you this. I was convicted of a crime I committed 18+ years ago. Burglary of a motor vehicle. I stole beer out of a beer truck. I was caught with a pistol in the car while I was on probation.NTexas_V-Star wrote:Guys, be careful with 5.0 SVO. He's not giving the whole story of his actions/attitude/stance from the other forum. I have spent over 3 years in college. I have over 130+ college credit hours. My IQ is above average and I believe people can learn from their mistakes. Thank you for your time. You guys are very respectable on this forum.

Re: Wanted to say hello to everyone
Here is one of the comments someone made about the whole situation. This is the kinda people I have been arguing with.
"So your opinion is to let the maggot go, send him to prison for a couple of months if that and hope he doesn't do it again?
OR is the next step to spend MORE taxpayer money on the scumbag and try to "reform" the dummy.
You sound like a Democrap and your half wit line of thinking is what messed up this country in the first place. You need to run for political office... no wait... you can't because you are a crook yourself.
The cheapest thing to do is have open season hunting on illegals, unemployed hobos and ex-cons like yourself. It would save tax payer money in the long run and create more American jobs.
That planet of the apes looking family you voted for would probably let you work for them."

Re: Wanted to say hello to everyone
I agree with you 100%. My life is more valuable to me then almost anyone that would threaten my life. But... I feel like if I took another mans life unnecessarily then I would never be able to forgive myself.randomoutburst wrote:I agree, I think that among those carrying a weapon there should be more concern for life than one's own. I have never been forced to draw on another human being and I hope I don't ever have to. I know that presented with a living, breathing human and not a paper silhouette I would have a surge of emotion (especially in the aftermath)...but I also know that should it be a life-or-death situation I would choose my life over an attacker's.
I would like to add that I've always been taught/told that in Western days it was actually very common to shoot another man in the back. They didn't have honorable "quick draw" shoot outs like in the movies. ;)

Re: Wanted to say hello to everyone
Did you guys hear about the shooting in Ft Worth. 2 men invaded a home and were shot and killed. Both (maybe just 1)of them died outside. 1 was trying to get in his car and the home owner chased him out to his car and unloaded on him. The other died in the street I believe.
The news story doesnt have very good details. Anyone got any info on that?

Re: Wanted to say hello to everyone
I have been listening to some gun owners (on another website)talking about killing criminals just because they can and I am down right disgusted. How could anyone get pleasure from taking another mans life?
The law defines murder (one of the ten commandments). And depending on if its daylight or dark can make you a hero or a murderer. I think the common denominator should always be you were in fear for your life. 18 years ago I was a criminal and it was because I didnt know any better. I am not trying to justify anything. I just think that the punishment should fit the crime, or atleast the intent of the crime.
