LOL, Quit making me feel old, you guys remember setting dip switches or jumpers prior to "plug-n-pray" too huh?
(Reminds me of trying to explain to my daughters what an "LP" was on a "record player")
Ask a youngster what "UMB" is nowadays and instead of saying Upper Memory Blocks they'll guess:

Job Title: Sr. Mainframe Developer

Duration: 9 months contract assignment

Location: San Antonio, TX

Compensation: $45-51/hr (w2)

Job Description:

Mainframe Programmer to be a key member on a merger team performing technical analysis to define key requirements and activities to migrate applications and data.
The primary goal is moving systems from the one mainframe to another mainframe. This includes but is not limited to modifying programs, copy and control library member changes, JCL changes, migration of critical data, changes to NDM interfaces and conducting testing that covers unit, integration and enterprise.
Candidate must be willing to research solution, deal with limited information and be a strong team player
Environment: VSAM, CICS, COBOL2, NDM/DIRECT CONNECT, FILEAID, MVS JCL, JES2, CHANGEMAN, ENDEVOR, XPEDITER, MS WINDOWS, TSO/ISPF, EASYTRIEVE, DB2, NDM, RACF, TOP SECRET.
May confer with technical personnel.
Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
Receives general supervision, and is competent to work at the highest level of technical phases of programming while working on own most of the time.
Must have EAD, GC, US Citizenship. No C2C partnerships.
