Re: Concealing in workout clothes

Anyway, I have 2 belly bands, one has Velcro for a shoulder strap for heavier guns.
One is "conceal it" and I don't see a label on the other.

Belly bands and ankle holsters vary so much in fit and quality, I rarely use them though, I still prefer a lightweight pistol and IWB when at all possible.

You could get one of those warmup/workout suits ...

I'm anxious to see a new Sig P290 9mm ultra-tiny DAO not on the market yet ....

Here it is http://www.sigsauer.com/Products/ShowCa ... ductid=307" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
- Lightweight sub-compact
- Available in 9mm
- Optional integrated laser
Sights SIGLITE® or Contrast Sights

- DAO Trigger

I like lightweight for working out, but a 9mm would be better than my diamondback .380 or keltec .380

Jim, respectfully, I really don't consider it paranoia after personally having 7 guns pointed at me so far while being robbed; and having an uncle (W.J. Galloway) and his wife, Modena, were murdered in their home .. I consider it reality.
As far as you should be safe because of the numbers of police at your health club, Google shooting "Police Station"
We don't live in a "black and white TV world" anymore, June Cleaver telling the Beaver that God knows what he does even in secret type shows aren't on much nowadays..
The electronics store where I was robbed was on a main street with police visible through the windows, the 2 robbers were a little scared.

The lumber yard+True Value hardware store where I was robbed by those 5 guys with pistols and 2 shotguns, those guys were not scared. They got away with robbing the Kroger grocery store a week earlier, leaving a produce clerk in critical condition.

Cain ran out of money while having a cocaine party and broke into their Oxnard home, where William Galloway, 63, was known to keep large sums of cash. Cain beat the couple to death with a rocking chair and took their money (They ran out of coke at the party next door, needed money to buy more)] Tracy used to have his own website from Prison, from which he sold his anti-death penalty book he wrote in Prison.

Actually, it would surprise me if WJ ever had "large sums of cash" but that's way off topic .... sorry

I do, that's why they call those things "HOME" invasions. Home invasions normally occur in nice safe neighborhoods where there is something worth stealing; not in slums where people have nothing worth stealing.

So, you go to a nice looking LA fitness club in a decent part of town like this one in the video below?

5 Dead in Pittsburgh Health Club Shooting
Man Walks Into Exercise Class, Says Nothing, Pulls Out 2 Guns and Opens Fire; 10 Injured
His motivation was the same as the Luby's shooter's
(Why would anyone need a gun at Luby's? Another Cafeteria might be safer?)

I could post many more, but I won't.
I only carry 3 or 4 pistols to church.
If you are at a health club I'm at, and all heck breaks loose, quick, wave your CHL at me, I usually carry spare pistols and can toss you one .... but I might not be there that day, so maybe you should carry your own. :oops:

I don't go to "bad" parts of town, but robbers rob people everywhere, especially where there is something worth robbing for.
Like the ones who follow people home from stores. Several used to follow people home from jewelry store in the Galleria, and rob them later.

But crazies can be anywhere.

Re: Concealing in workout clothes

My workout shorts have elastic AND a drawstring

I carry in a Rip Cord holster (Comp-tac clips) http://www.concealedtechnology.com/S_Clip.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I carry a lightweight Diamondback DB380, locked breech, with the OLD .380 +P Corbon and Buffalo Bore ammo.

I also have the same holster for a Taurus PT-709, but it depends what the workout is ... loose drawstring on shorts and the heavier PT709 can make for embarrassment unless you wear suspenders too.
