People run in and out of the post office pretty quickly sometimes.
Just to get stamps, just to mail a letter in the inside slot/box.

College Campus parking lots where classes last an hour, hour-and-a-half, or longer are better leisurely, take your time/all-you-can-steal buffet's for criminals.

Several insurance companies send me offers with "No postage necessary" envelopes.
Instead of shredding them, I enclose coupons (which came in junk mail) for stuff I'll never buy, but someone may want, and mail them to the insurance companies.
(I have several relatives retired from USPS)

Back to the topic, I don't carry in post offices anyway.. I don't go to post offices; I just put the flag up on my mailbox and buy stamps at the grocery store.
