Yeah it's sorta strange, It's a State Park+National Park it seems.
Since it's a "National Park" ... certain rules apply.
I don't believe you can carry inside buildings where workers are performing their job duties ...
There's a "school house" where LBJ went to school, but I don't believe it's been used for a "school" in years.
That's the only "hitches" I can think of off the top of my head.
