After the "express lane" opened at the State Capital, more CHL courses were taken by Democrats too .... just sayin, maybe they will after it passes if they think every 18 year old student is a-packin' lol. (Which we know isn't the case)RHenriksen wrote:Hm... I must say, I can't think of a single university professor who I can picture touching a firearm, let alone own one, let alone *carry* one!RPB wrote:Glock 23 wrote:all i know is if i hear one more ignorant comment like 'what if a student with a chl get a bad grade or gets dumped?' well then the apocalypse of fire will rain down. cause every time i get a C or worse i just know shootin folk makes me feel better.
definitely in line for most ignorant comment ever said.
Since more professors are over 21 than students (qualified for a CHL) I'd hesitate to whoop out a firearm on any faculty after this passes, although nothing at all prevents an 18 year old from whooping one out now and shootin' a prof, and the rest of the class, over grades, except now the prof must be unarmed.

Re: Hou Chron article today on Campus Carry
Some guy was "going off" about Perry firing a gun into the air and how all bullets come down somewhere and how he shouldn't aim it up in the air ...
I responded "Did you read the caption? Where do you guys aim your "blank-firing-starters pistols?"
Those people have opinions without knowledge.

Re: Hou Chron article today on Campus Carry
Actually, since that's an API press release, it also is "EVERYWHERE"
FOX
CBS
ABC
NBC
all newspapers
everywhere
Just Google "Texas poised to allow guns on campus"
It's on TV in ... Idaho.
But award for the most prejudicial, anti-Texan, out of context photos accompanying the article goes to .... npr and San Francisco Chronicle and of course, the huffing too much post

They live in fear that everyone is armed. It's that irrational fear.

Re: Hou Chron article today on Campus Carry
I know ... it's the I'd be nervous if ..."and knew the person next to me had one" fallacy.
Police don't know I'm armed unless they ask. I've had them stare at me trying to see if I am or not while in gun stores, else maybe they just stare cause I look funny ....
