Re: Fox 7 Austin on Handgun training

I saw that last night.

I might take that course, BUT I didn't care for Steve Wolf and the Newscaster's (and their previews all week of this) where they dissed the standard CHL training itself .... could have been worded better without dissing the training every CHL gets already. imho.
I mean Colleges don't in Advanced Accounting class tell you that College Accounting Course wasn't good enough...
No one really complains that basic Driver's Education "isn't enough" but we all know it's there to teach only basics.

Steve's criticism of the basic course, along with his choice of web domain name ( http://badassschool.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) .... indicates to me, an older more mature person with probably more years of firearm experience than Steve has been alive, something I won't express here about him.... That's just my impression/opinion... he could easily change that opinion/first impression and possibly get more business.... I see "potential pitfalls" in his critical forward thinking/planning ...

I'm interested in reading their "Warranty"

Says they'll "back you up" I guess in Court .... so, in Court they'll confirm when you say ..."Yes, I went to "BadAssSchool" ( http://badassschool.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) ummm that should help your case ... (I retired from a Legal Assistant position after 25 years in a law firm ... I'm not sure Juries would take that statement as a "good thing" ... learning to be a ...)

Still, looks like a decent course and I might take it.... I just hope I never have to tell a jury "I took a course at BadAssSchool" because I am licensed and carry for defensive purposes ONLY (been robbed with guns at my head and forced to the floor by 2 armed men once, robbed by 7 armed men another time, and held at knifepoint in a Campus parking lot) I am not armed so I can be a "badass" bully etc.

As I said, looks like some interesting courses I might take ... I'm not dissing the instructors' knowledge, experience, qualifications, nor tactics.

Wolf's course also offers something that no other concealed handguns course does, a warranty.

Wolf says as long as your concealed handguns license is maintained, they will back you up if you use a firearm in a justified use of deadly force for self defense or an innocent third party.
They also teach other courses, defensive shotgun, edged weapons, hand to hand combat etc. A course I DON'T see is "Handgun RETENTION" ... He should add that IMHO. Even if it's a simple "Pin and Spin" and a few other techniques.

some might be interesting

The "Warranty" is on this page ...

I have no affiliation with them, just heard of them on TV last night.
