Re: Ridiculously Exaggerated Article on Campus Carry
My sister thinks that way too. If you allow people to carry on campus then you would have vigilantes shooting anything that moves. The odds of you having to defend your life during a mass shooting event are very unlikely. What is very likely is that you will defend yourself against rape or robbery. ...

Re: Shots fired at UT Campus...
A tweeter on campus, at UT Law on the north side, says he had an AK47 (who knows).
They are also looking for a second suspect.

Re: Shots fired at UT Campus...
I know how angered we are right now because some many were hurt in a "safe" "gun free zone.'
Lets please all say a prayer for those affected.

Your exactly correct. But it seems that some people who would be 100% opposed to burning a US flag are all for burning the Quran.snorri wrote:It's fundamentally no different than burning the US flag in protest.
A bit hypocritical IMO.

Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco
I may want to add a belt. Walking with the extra weight bouncing up and down kind wants to pull your pants down. RIP Erik. Never underestimate the worth of a good stout belt. It makes the carry so much more comfortable and secure in my humble. Good job on the walk and the boycott of purchasing. :th...

My life and limbs are worth exiting and arriving at my destination 5 minutes later :P
I'm honestly surprised the anti's haven't posted all over the comments on kxan.com or their FB story on this.

Re: Shots fired in Mopac road rage incident
Well, you see, officer, the reason that I kept following him for seven or eight miles is so he could antagonize me enough so that I could reach the point that I became in fear for my life and I would therefore be justified in using my firearm to stop the threat that he was presenting to me because ...

Re: Shots fired in Mopac road rage incident
Yup... This exact scenario came up in my CHL class.
If your in a car.. just get away, it's not too hard to do. Especially on Mopac. I've had to do it many times, mostly when UT is in session.

I wish South Austin still had an outdoor range. I live a couple minutes from Red's, but they are too expensive and always packed to the gills.

Re: Texas Gun Show in S. Austin and Changing Times
I tried out the Austin gun show twice. Both times I found it to be a complete rip off. .380 ammo I can buy at Academy, and did on my way home, for $30 was $55 at the show. Another booth was selling a Mossberg 88 12 gauge for $250. At Academy they sell them for $180. I saw a knife I liked, the vendor...

Re: How guys should behave when unexpectedly approaching a l
I was filling up at the gas station this weekend around sunset. A lady pulled by and her brakes were making a grinding sound that bugs me like nothing else in the world. I debated in my mind wether or not to talk to her, I eventually did. So I walked up to her car, stayed about 15 feet away and lean...
