Rentals and Ranges

Looking for a Gun Range close to the spring area that has a good assortment of pistols to rent. Wife made an inclination that she is thinking about getting one so it is something the two of us can do together. She has shot my Taurus 1911 but she says it is to heavy and is kind of large in her hand. ...

Re: How Long Since You Have Been To The Range To Practice ?

Sorry to say, last time I was at the range is when I was shooting for my CHL. With the holidays, day job, and weather around here it has been real easy to find excuses. :( Looking at next weekend of going and possibly trying the range up off of 105 in Conroe (owner posted to the forums somewhere in ...

Re: new to carry observations

just wanted to say thank you. Looks like i might try the wallet in my left pocket for a while. Being right handed and CC my 1911, so far I have not had to much of an issue with getting my wallet out while at wally world but I have been utterly concerned event with it being in my supertuck.

Re: need a little help

Do not have the specifics but being an owner of a 1911 and family members owning a Glock I would definitely have to say that the 1911 is thinner than the Glock. :)

Re: Taurus PT1911

I carry a Taurus 1911DT (Dual Tone). Have had zero issues with it and coming up just under 1000 rounds through it. Saving up for a Kimber right now because Taurus at the moment does not make anything but a 5". :)

Re: Comfortable Concealed Carry options?

I carry a taurus 1911 in a crossbreed supertuck deluxe (iwb) and have no issues concealing it with just a T-shirt untucked.

Re: WTB 1911 ,wtt/wts taurus pt145 pro

I am with OldGringo. I own a PT1911 and have had zero issues with it. The one thing that might be a downer for you is that Taurus's 1911 only comes in a 5" barrel. My supertuck deluxe and I are still working on the right place after 2 days of having my supertuck for the sweet spot.:

Re: ammo on sale

Wal-Mart (i45 and Louetta)

9mm: A few boxes (Federal $9.47/50)
.40: To many to count
.45: nadda
.380: nadda

Wondering if we should start a thread for each store until they start being regularly stocked. Looks like we get consistent reports for Wal-Mart and Academy.

Thoughts?

Re: Just Got It - Crossbreed Supertuck

It must be really Christmas time. Went to check the mail and found that Mark from CrossBreed Holsters had sent me my holster. Quickness must be in the air. Strapped it on without making any adjustments to get the leather broken in to find where it will be most comfortable. Will update here if intere...

Re: Just Got It - Crossbreed Supertuck

Ordered mine on 12/21 for my taurus 1911. Will let everyone know how it goes when I get it.

Enjoyed reading all the good comments that people have made which makes me feel that much better on my first choice of holster for CC.

Re: Best 1911

Taurus 1911 with Hogue grips is real comfortable. Have a little over 500 rounds through mine and have had zero issues.
