Re: Would you go through more CHL training?
My question is: Would you guys go through more training, and even possibly as much as a priest's religious training if it meant being able to believe in God everywhere, and if it would make anti-religious shut up?

Re: Sign of the times - Amen
Obama himself does this. Most of his speeches allude to all the problems he "inherited". Yeah, he didn't vote for any of those economic problems he's blaming Bush for now, right? :smilelol5: That's why they got worse after he took office. Because the Democratic congress that approved thos...

I think it good it was posted if it gets them to close the loopholes.
Exempting the fat cat politicians from screening that taxpayers have to face is not just wrong, it's EVIL.

Re: How to Fix Congress
7. Congress must equally abide in all laws they impose on the American people. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. I don't get the point of this proposal...in what manner don't they? Y...

1) It's 2009. Love em or hate em, Bush/Cheney and Co have been out of power for 11 months. Someday, you're going to have to move beyond this 5 year old "but they did THIS" mentality that excuses every bad decision from the CURRENT administration. HOPE = we hope we can keep blaming Bush fo...

Re: How to Fix Congress
I have no problem with paying them a reasonable salary when they're working but there should be no retirement benefits. They should get their retirement benefits from the private sector job they worked before/after their public service. That would also be a backdoor term limit. The problem is it wou...

Re: Present CHL when not the driver
Yeah, just like the DPS MUST issue or deny CHL permits in a timely, good faith, manner under the same set of statutes. They MUST, but there's absolutely no penalty, so they won't. Now at least, we're in a position to offer the government the same courtesy in return. The legendary Texas DPS pr...

Florida took a couple of weeks for me. It's not the cheapest CHL but it's very easy.

We don't have to register guns in Texas because the store all ready does it for all in tents and purposes.

It sounds like his injuries were his own fault. If so. I hope the department suspends him without pay and benefits until he's able to perform the duties he's paid for. No reason for the taxpayers to pay for his reckless disregard.
