Gun on St. Gregory Campus, Tyler

Re: Speed draw expectations
Keep in mind guys that self defense situations don't happen in a vacuum. Usually there are tip offs something is going to happen and it gives you time (if you recoginize the tip offs) to be primed to draw, that is if you haven't already without the BG knowing it. You will find true drawing speed can...

Re: LAPD officer shot by his son sues gun maker
Of course, here in Texas leaving a loaded gun where a child can access it is a crime all in itself. I really doubt the guy will succeed. I suspect he hopes the gun companies settle out of court so he can get some money to pay for his medical bills. Still, it was totaly his fault. I bet the gun even ...

Re: Weaver K1.5 C3 Rifle Scope
It's a one inch tube and from other sources I've found it is a high powered scope.
Yep, all for $7.50! It's a keeper!
Thanks.

Weaver K1.5 C3 Rifle Scope
Guys,
Do any of you know what the Weaver K1.5 C3 Rifle Scope was made for? .22 or high power rifle?
Got a real good condition one at a flea market for $7.50 today. I can mount it on a .22 but would rather put it on a H&R 158 30/30 I picked up for 90 bucks.
Thanks,
Deaf

Re: Open Carry In The News
Guys, I am a CHL instructor. Been in it since it first started. I am not really for open carry. But at the same time I'm for Vermont carry. That is, no CHL required to carry a concealed weapon. Yes I know in Vermont it can be unconcealed, but I still feel it needs to be out of sight. As long as you ...

Just an update guys:
You ought to read this board discussion on it! Talk about prejudice!

Apparently the guy still has not be indicted.

Re: A Responsible Idea?
Come on guys.... why pussy foot around. Let's just put micro chips into people at birth. For your own good of course! And tell me, if you put a chip in gun, what's to stop a savvy person from taking it out? And, like drugs, what's to stop someone from smuggling in un-chipped guns? Just like microsta...

Re: Open Carry In The News
Herb, It's not about gun control. Citizens do not use snach resistant holsters like LEOs do. If you would go to New Mexico you will see very few use the open carry law. They have found, as I did, you have to be careful as to if your gunside is near someone. Just way to easy. And thus, few pack their...

Re: Open Carry In The News
Open carry has several faults. 1) The wearer, by dispalying the firearm, gives any would-be gun snacher the heads up. This to me is the greatist danger. Yes I know in a few other states like New Mexico and Arizona and Vermont, they do have that law, but few use it. I've been in New Mexico and I did ...

Re: Selecting a handgun for dusty environments
In Iraq the Glocks are VERY popular. The polymer frame is more or less self lubercating so just the innards of the steel slide and barrel need a touch of dry lube.
About as close to a AK as you can get in a handgun.
