Re: ammo on sale

ammuntiontogo.com has quite a bit/ a decent selection of .380 brands of hollopoints and others in stock....or did yesterday, and I got it by UPS today, I left a little for y'all. I checked there yesterday and saw the home defense type stuff but it was all priced too high for me. The Gold Dot at $40...

Re: ammo on sale

Cabela's has some Fiocchi .380 in stock *online* for $18 a box of 50. Not a fantastic deal but a decent price on "in stock" .380.

Re: Revolvers & XD's: Best for contact shooting of BG's.

As an XD 45 owner I'm curious as to why you think the manual safety is important? It was added, I believe, to aid sales to LEO and Military (some forces demand handguns have a safety). I have an XD9sc and would have preferred one with a manual safety. I keep a couple of guns loaded (and hidden) in ...

Re: Ruger's New Compact Pistol

So how much "bigger" is this than the LCP? For carry I think it will *feel* much bigger than an LCP. Here's a photo of an XD9sc which is very similar is size to the SR9c (although the SR9c is more rounded across the top of the slide and narrower at the base of the slide), and a Sig P238 w...

Re: December 2009 Applications

Where do you shoot in the Allen area? My wife and I are looking at moving to the Plano/Frisco/McKinney area in a few months. I'm in Frisco and I shoot at The Bullet Trap occasionally. I've bought and sold several guns there and have been impressed with their professionalism. On the occasions where ...

Re: ammo on sale

I've been calling the Walmart nearest my office 2-3 times a week for the last month. Today they actually had .380. In the 15 minutes it took me to get from my house to the counter, it was already gone. :headscratch I wonder if the sales person could/would take your Credit Card # and hold it until y...

Re: ammo on sale

I ordered 3 boxes of .380 UMC from Bass Pro Shop on Nov 11th and it showed up today. $17 a box. I also managed a couple boxes of Winchester .380 from Academy in McKinney by spending a couple weeks calling every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning--$20 a box. You can also find .380 frequently at Lu...

Re: December 2009 Applications

First post. I thought I'd sign up just to add one more data point to processing times. I took my class in Dallas on the Dec 5th and sent it in via Priority mail on the 7th. Tracking showed that it was delivered the 9th. After waiting somewhat patiently for a couple of weeks to receive my PIN I gave ...
