Re: Got the Glock 26

The G26 is thus far my all-time favorite :clapping: , but she's been getting lonely since I picked up the LCP recently :totap: .

Having bought the G26 and G19, I can say with certaintly that I'm more accurate under 15 yards with the G26 - no extensions practice or carry. There may be an advantaage to having an extra stabilizer on bottom of grip (i.e., pinky) - not sure, just know I'm deadly accurate with the thing!

I definitely CANNOT pocket carry G26 (unlike LCP where I can pocket carry 100% - even in nylon shorts)! I can't see how anyone could comfortably do this w/out being able to counter the weight and thickness somehow...

Anyway, now planning for the G26 to be my cold weather carry and have the LCP be my most frequent, warm weather &/or quick-grab carry.

I do wish I had only purchased the G26 instead of both G26 & G19. My G19 is VERY lonely! Each have their own homes in separate Gun Vaults - but LCP likes to snuggle with the G26 often!

I like the CT laser so much on the LCP that I wish more holsters were available for similar trigger guard installs on the G26 (example, M-Tac)... EDIT: Found out that Crossbread Super Tuck has one available :anamatedbanana ! The CT for G26 AND Crossbread Super Tuck will be near-future purchases! The M-Tac that I have now doesn't appear to have any options for this (yet). In any case, I'd much rather have grip guard install (just like LCP - since no accessory rail) than side-frame install since grip size would stay same and no extra "side" accessory (large pill-like protrusion) sticking out right side... Guide rod option is OUT - will not replace such a major factory component with that after market, unadjustable piece.

Installed grip plugs on both my Glocks on day one - period. I did replace slide lock lever on G19 to make it slightly more comfortable, but that was completely unnecessary for use - factory component was fine. I have shot Glocks w/3.5lb trigger and they were "nice", but for my carry, wanted to stick with factory 5.5lb trigger - especially since I can already put a hole through a quarter with one shot at 7 yards or less! As long as accuracy is there for 5.5lb trigger, don't need to fix it if it ain't broke!

1000+ rounds & going - through G26 and not a single failure!

Word of caution :nono: : Do NOT clean it thoroughly until the factory copper grease/preserve is completely gone - @ 250-350 rounds :fire ! Barrol swap, etc yes - but don't remove that copper stuff by hand from slide! Let weapon do that w/experience.
