Re: ammo on sale
I read the reviews on that cheap ammo and opted not to try it. I did buy a different brand and got the $20.00 off deal @ Cabela's. I am of the opinion that just walking into the store and picking up ammo is WAY cheaper than ordering online, no waiting and no shipping & handling charges. But I am addicted to online shopping so once I was at the site had to just buy something. Right! ![lol :](./images/smilies/lol.gif)

Re: ammo on sale
I went to the range today to practice with my Ruger 22LR target pistol and the box (50) of ammo I had for it had a price on it of $1.94. Have a box (50) 25 auto price ont it was $6.97. Don't we all just long to be back in the 80's? My most recent purchase of 22LR was a box of 50 $11.00 I think we are being charged for the little plastic racks inside the box that holds the shells apart. My little cheap box of ammo just had them stacked in there,no seperation. Do I really care if my ammo is seperated by plastic, or foam or whatever they decide to use as a filler? By the way, what is the shelve life of ammo? Evidently 22LR lasts til you shoot it. ![fire :fire](./images/smilies/fire.gif)

Re: ammo on sale
The price on that .380 ammo was 21.95 per box. At T's guns & ammo on the loop in Texas City. exmarolboroman pm me with who is close to me that wants that 38SP+P ammo that I have no use for. I will be glad for it to find it a home. Was thinking it may be as hard to give that ammo away as it is a litter of kittens.

Re: ammo on sale
Hi all No worries. I found some .380FMJ ammo today. Got myself 4 boxes. Thats what I need to go practice with on the shooting range with my Bersa Thunder. So now I can just kick those 38SP+P's to the curb. May find someone to give them to. If not, I do have a slingshot
T's Guns & Ammo in Texas City has a good supply of the .380FMJ ammo if anyone is interested. No personal protection ammo as yet though.

Re: ammo on sale
Thx to all for the info. Guess I will now go and see if I can find a 38SP that is of newer vintage to add to my collection. Both of my 38SP are old. One I bought in '97 the other has been around since year 1 I am sure. It belonged to my mom-in-law and when she passed away I got it.

Re: ammo on sale
So if it doesn't have a +P on the barrel does that mean I have to just throw the ammo at a target instead of shooting it out of my gun? Will my gun blow up in my hand or something else terrible? This will certainly teach me to read the ammo box before I buy that's for sure.

Re: ammo on sale
Hi, thx for your input. 1 revolver I have is a 38 S/W police special. The other is a Snub nosed 38SP armius brand or something like that. I have all my pistols in a gun safe otherwise I would look to tell you what the actual mfg of that snub nose is. haven't a clue where to look for a +P on them.

Re: ammo
I went to Wallyworld looking for anything I could find. Needed some 38sp for my revolvers found a box then noticed when I got home it had a +P on it. Seeing as how I am new to all this what does +P mean? Does it mean I can't use it in a revolver?
Don't everyone laugh, but I had no idea there was such a thing as target ammo and/or personal protection ammo. Are there any books I can buy to read up on ammo? Only real thing I know is if you have a 25 need to buy 25 ammo- and so on and so forth. I know not to try to load something other than the right caliber. Really do need to know what the difference is in regular 38SP and 38SP+P. Thanks all ![Confused :???:](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)
