When I get my car worked on, I don't leave anything in it that is not attached to the car.

I can't remember how many times acquaintances have told me how something in their vehicle disappeared, and the auto shop played "I know nothing! Nothing!"

The fine print on the service agreement always says they are not responsible for your property, including the entire car going missing.

The only way I would leave something in the vehicle is in a safe that is bolted down or attached to the body with a thick cable. Even then, you're depending upon the honesty of everyone in the shop who touches the vehicle.
