I honestly don't understand why you're saying this.

I know people who immigrated here from many other countries and have made a good life for themselves. Few of them had an easy start. I've also met people overseas who were born in the United States and preferred to be somewhere else. It's a big world, and hopefully there's a place for everyone.

Did you buy the pistol from an FFL dealer? If so, it sounds like you have the correct status to own a firearm under fedeal law. They usually err on the side of caution.

If you're not eligible for a CHL, you might want to look into the NRA Personal Protection in the Home course, or something similar.

As far as being legally permitted to own firearms, the U.S. probably has the most permissive laws for non-citizens in the world.

The form says that the social security number is required persuant to Texas Family Code § 231.302 (c) (1), which concerns child support payments.

You might try calling DPS and asking if you can qualify. I don't know exactly what type of visa is required.
