Better hope you don't develop Alzheimer's like me and forget where you stashed it all.Apadravya wrote:Napier wrote:Doe she know the combo to your safe?Apadravya wrote:My ammo is in ammo cans spread about the apartment in spots that I know she won't be looking, ie. kitchen pantry.
My safe is keyed, as far as she knows I have 20 oz of silver, a 92fs, and lcr in there. All my ammo, cash, bullion and what not is spread about in spots I know she wont be looking. I have had to go into hide everything I do from the wife mode because she would flip if she knew what all I have.

I do believe it was Texas' own Charlie Wilson who coined the phrase "Too much is not enough!" I'll warrant that for a few brief moments she thought you might have hocked her jewelry to buy the ammo.SecedeTX wrote:I got busted about a week ago. My wife went to the safe to get some of her old jewlery out to give to my daughter. She opened the safe, which is now packed FULL of 3000 rounds of 223 green point ammo. She had to pull out a bunch of boxes to get to her jewlery stash.
I was sitting on the couch minding my own business watching the military channel, and I hear from the bedroom "Oh My God....are you serious??? Do you really need this many bullets?"
I walked back to my closet where she was, and I said....."actually, I was thinking about a bigger safe"
Needless to say, that comment did not go over well with her.
I do need a bigger safe.
Really.

Re: Ammonomics
You are too easily amused. This is an anonymous forum, right? Well, I have a confession to make. I like ammo more than I like guns. So shiny. And so many brands! Russian. Czech! Mexican! Phillipino! I shake out a box and build things with them, like they were Legos. My shrinks shakes his head and says I am incurably ammoerotic.

Curse Academy! As Oscar Wilde so famously said "I can resist anything but temptation!" This week they have Federal American Eagle .380 ACP on special. My favorite calibre (I am a midget with even smaller hands). But wait. Take five deep breaths. And check Wrigley Ammo on line. Joy! I can order it and even with shipping it is cheaper because of no tax. Then why did I buy at Academy? Because I can sneak out of the house when the wife is shopping, but she might be home when UPS delivers.
