Church and Hospital carry
I recently downloaded the mobile app CCW. In it, it is quoting the code listed below that says it’s illegal to carry in churches or hospitals. I thought that those were stricken a few years ago. Specifically they now allow people to act as security guards at churches and carry weapons without being ...

Re: Church with Preschool
I am not trying to be pig headed but this does not answer the question. The penal code talks about an educational institution. This does not specify if a Private School is or is not a educational institution. However, it does say that a preschool is a private school. (6-a) "Private school"...

Re: Church with Preschool
How do you know it is not a school. I found in the educational codes, Preschools are regulated.

Church with Preschool
I am about brain dead trying to figure this out. I am a member of a church that has an attached preschool. The school does not have a kindergarten. Part of the facility is classroom that the school uses. There is a common area that both the church and school use together attached by a hall through t...

Re: Range Report LLAMA 9mm Parabellum
It will take the Colt magazines, but the LLAMA release is 1/16th of an inch lower. You will need to get a Dremel tool and shave the magazine catch opening a bit. Just extend it more towards the bottom of the magazine. I did this to 3 of them and they work great!

Re: Going to Tahoe
Thank you everyone for the great information! I really appreciate it. I Just flew back after spending a few days in Bogota, Colombia. I was at alert level orange the whole time there as I had no gun or even knife as you can imagine. I am a very blonde American, and the whole time there I only saw tw...

Re: Going to Tahoe
Thanks. That is what I thought. I did research and could not find any laws there, and I knew my friends here would be able to help.

Re: Going to Tahoe
I know the CHL is not welcome. My question is more around if either state has a law like the MPA here. You can have in your car and in your hotel, but not in you waistband.

Going to Tahoe
I am going to Tahoe, Nevada side, with a 1 day trip into California. We are actually flying into Reno and renting a car. We are driving into Truckee, CA for one night at a Cousin's house and then back to a resort south of Reno. I have a Texas CHL and no other states license. I also know that Califor...

Re: Hubby Dropped His Piece @ State Fair
This is a great story and I applaud your husband and his friend about their situational awareness and quick thinking.
Next time however, I would leave the piggy back rides out of the fair.

Just saw a great bumper sticker
Psalm 109:8 reads: Let his days be few: let another take his office.
Sorry if this is political, but I thought it was too good not to post.

Re: Are you "over-prepared"?
I think there are times you can get carried away. Personally I always have: 1) Cutco folding knife (gift from my wife) 2) Ruger LCP & Spare Mag - OR - Ruger LCP & Glock 19 - OR - Glock 19 & Spare Mag 3) Surefire flashlight 4) Wallet 5) Keys If I am walking my dogs or going someplace a bi...
