Re: Glock vs. 1911 - Good vs. Evil - Jedi vs. Sith
I think the resistance would use glocks and the imperials would use 1911's, for the simple reason that the resistance can't afford the $300 500-round break in period for the 1911. Obiwan would have said, "Your father's Glock. This is the weapon of a Jedi Knight. Not as clumsy or random as a 1911; an elegant weapon for a more civilized age."The Annoyed Man wrote:I've always thought of Darth Vader as more an HK kind of guy. Han Solo has a 1911 on one hip and a Single Action Army Colt on the other (he likes keeping the "old stuff" running). Chewbacca is a grenadier. The Imperial Storm Troopers are Glock guys. They need to keep it simple because they confuse easily. Obiwan does like the 1911, but all Jedi warriors also have a .357 snubbie hidden under their robes. Jabba the Hutt carries a Highpoint .380 because it matches his sense of style. Lando Calrissian favors the Vector CP1. Luke Skywalker is a M1A guy.
Good thread topic, austinrealtor!
