I won't go into the usage of a purse since most of you don't have that option. (We've discussed it on the ladies' thread.)

If the stall has a hook, you could CAREFULLY hang it by the trigger guard, but make sure the safety is on and keep it pointed in a safe direction.
You could also temporarily unholster it & just hold onto it.
I prefer the purse, but that doesn't seem like a good option for many of you here.
