I think your biggest threat is the parking lot. If you enter through doors that aren't posted, I don't see where they can hold that against you (although I wouldn't want to be the test case). However, my dad always says, "No one's going to know your carrying unless you either take the thing out or tell them."
I'm curious as to how it would work out if you had to use the gun in the mall parking lot, having been in the mall through an unposted door. Technically, your legal in the parking lot. But would they prosecute you for having been in the mall with your gun just to make an example out of you?

I haven't seen any 30.06 signs in Houston so far, but I've heard about some on this board. I think most places don't know they exist. Let's keep it that way.
