Sorry to resurrect the thread, but I have some questions about CHLPP. I know a lot of you are saying to up your homeowners personal liability, but I DON'T OWN A HOME! That and I believe that an umbrella policy will only protect you from CIVIL action, not criminal (Don't have my property and casualty insurance license, so I'm not sure). CHLPP seems like a good option, as the castle doctrine protects a good shoot from civil action, it's mainly the Criminal defense I am worried about. Saying get the bail-bondsmen to bail you out, and find a lawyer afterwords is not an option for those of us who don't have 25,000-50,000 sitting around!!! Having some sort of insurance paying up to the Grand Jury is an economically viable option for the rest of us.

I'm sure anyone whose been involved in a shooting won't go into details, but has anyone who has CHLPP and used the coverage able to shed some light? Or is everyone that used it wound up in prison?
