Re: new member in Alvin
i took it as a goof (if you look close its not loaded) but realized when i looked at the pic that a 45 is very good deterent, when youre looking at the bussiness end and it looks like a sewer pipe makes ya stop and really think about what youre doing....or at least it would make me! ;)

for a little background, I'm not exactly new to guns in general in fact im a c&r liscensee, however I am new to the idea of carrying. my current plan for normal carry is my Springfield Armory XD(m) 40 cal. however since I normally carry a messenger back just about anything will work and Im currently considering something like a 1991 or xd in 45.
as far as what i own
jimmenez ja9
hipoint 9 and 45
springfield xd(m) 40
various mosin nagant rifles
olympic arms ar
ak
mossberg 500
gsg-5
10=22sr
and for near future im planing both the afore mentioned 45 and a tokarev 7.62x25

new member in Alvin
So, yup another new member, still waiting on my card (and checking the texas online link alot...lol). In the meantime I remembered about this forum so I decided to stop in look around and hopefully load up on useful info about carry choices, weapon selection, etc etc.
also my thanks to Charles Cotton for a great course that was fun and informative.
