Not sure I understand, "The safety is on the left." What I am saying is that the 938 has to be wider due to the ambi-safety (one on each side), and perhaps the ambi-safety is what is preventing it from being holstered in a 238 holster which is designed for a single safety on the left.

I wonder if it's the ambi-safety that makes it a problem. The 238 doesn't have one, but the 938 does.

Is that measured at the widest point (grips?) Also Sig specs shows it's .4" longer than the 238 (5.9" vs.5.5")

Sig lists the width of the 938 and the 238 as the same 1.1" Are the Sig specs incorrect?
