"Is the bill intentionally being written with that language so that lawmakers who vote, but barely read the bill, will believe it's just a high capacity magazine ban? And later, after becomes law, those who wrote it can say, "oh no, it means exactly what it says" meaning all pistols with a detachable magazine are effectively banned. Those who were duped, or were either too lazy to read it and understand its meaning, or just plain ignorant of firearms, or ill informed by their staff, would be helpless to repeal it.
