Re: Obama says gun control to be top issue of final year
Obama is simoyaniously releasing Felons from prison, inviting tens of thousands of refugees without skills to support themselves while targeting Americans 2nd amendment rights. The hypocrisy of being surrounded by secret service agents with machine guns while making the statement is quite astounding.

I don't know if this has been posted, but here is an excerpt from the Rosenberg Police Department Facebook page: “In light of the recent media publicity regarding the traffic arrest of an armed CHL holder, we felt compelled to make a statement. The Rosenberg Police Department supports our 2nd Amend...

...If accurate it is of course unconscionable but you also have a guy who was slow to stop, tried to turn a stop into some kind of discussion, purposely or not answered questions about his gun in a manner that could be considered evasive, and that's just in the news report and highly edited video t...

Officer Schnacky: where on your body?
Gonzalez: my right side
Officer Schnacky: okay
Officer Schnacky: request back up. Suspect is not cooperating.

Re: /dash-cam-video-shows-how-simple-traffic-stop-quickly-escalated-when-driver-informed-officer-of-concealed-carry-perm
Asking why he was being pulled over is escalating the situation from a minor traffic stop to an arrest? I believe in being polite, but if we're judging videos here, I've seen plenty where people were down right rude and irate to the officer and they get a ticket and a "have a nice day" fr...

Driver files complaint after traffic stop in Rosenberg
The officers actions were deemed "okay" I'd say this is pretty far from okay. What are these officers going to do when we have open carry?

Re: New member with a question.
Yeah I've been following that. I don't want to cause any one alarm. I just want to protect myself. I live in San Antonio and now that I've been able to actually go out and experience the world, I've noticed that my city has quite a bit of gang violence and just violence in general. I try to avoid t...

I would have emptied my 6 round clip before the brut was dropped in this same scenario. Assuming my response and accuracy was similar. And no time to re- load. Has me re-thinking my daily carry.

Re: Private University LEOs
http://www.cato.org/raidmap I for one can't wait for the Chief of School Police to shrug nonchalantly while explaining to parents why their children had to die in a botch dormitory raid for 10 ounces of weed There isn't enough real crime and terrorism to justify the over staffed and militarized age...

He's not breaking what I consider a meaningless, pointless law so I'd mind my own business. If he was breaking the law it wouldn't be my business to enforce it.

Re: Unpleasant encounter with Rosenberg LEO
Hyperbole aside, what I do think people are saying it is normal and reasonable for a citizen that is being stopped for a mere traffic violation to feel uncomfortable if the cop gets excited and anxious and then prepares their weapon to be drawn just because someone hands them a chl when ID is reque...

Re: Unpleasant encounter with Rosenberg LEO
This thread has taken an interesting turn. Unsnapping or releasing one or two retention devices is not an aggressive act, but does it rise to the level of the threat of deadly force? I see officers rest their hand on the grip of their gun often. Most of the time it is just a place to rest their han...
