Call and politely let them know they are five days late. They're going to tell you they are running a little behind and that it will be about two more weeks. Again, politely tell them the statute doesn't provide for "running a little behind" and that you need your CHL. My wife and two sons had to do precisely that on their renewals and they got them the next week.

I'm going to start another poll and thread on this subject. It sounds like something we need to address in the 2007 session.

Our instructor told us they had 60 "working days" but I don't see it mentioning that in the statute. Is that implied?

Finally got my PIN in the mail today. I was starting to worry, but now I feel better knowing at least they've got it in processing. Hopefully it won't be too much longer now.

Sent mine on 2/1/05 and they haven't even entered it into the system yet. They did cash my money order though, so I guess they have their priorities straight. :?
