Speaking of "pulling the trigger," I was at a well-stocked SIG dealer recently and noticed that the trigger quality on both the 238's and 938's vary considerably from gun to gun. Some are quite nice right out of the box while others were like a box of rocks and felt about +2 lbs heavier. Maybe a rough one would smooth out in time, but for that reason alone I would buy from a dealer where I could handle and choose the one that would go home with me; paying $30 more is a lot less expensive than a trigger job! Have been lusting after one to replace my Kahr P380 but I need to sell it first. (BTW, they do make variants of the 238 with Ambi safeties. The Scorpoin version has them and I think 2 others as well.) But, with the 938 now out now and so close in size to the 238, it just begs the question - why in the world would anyone ever buy a 238???
