If you no longer have access to the computer you want to deauthorize, instead, click the "View Account" link in the same window as shown in the video above. There will be an option that shows all authorized computers/devices. Click that and remove the ones you no longer want.

I'd make a video like above but am at work and settings won't allow.
You mean like this?

:tiphat:

Chas, please post up once you have used and no longer need these videos.
I will pull them down at that point. Bit more PII then i prefer in general circulation.

Thanks

Re: ITunes: How to remove a computer from the authorized lis

Charles L. Cotton wrote:The Cotton household has two new laptops and I need to authorize them to access our iTunes library. To do this, I need to remove the authorization for the two laptops they replace and I have no idea how to do it. Before I start researching, I thought I'd see if anyone here has done this. (Also, I've never used the "share" function. Would that be better?)

Thanks,
Chas.
Chas, yes it's a simple procedure.

Here is a quick clip
http://screencast.com/t/SpQutJD31jv" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Basically start Itunes
Upper left hand side click the action button, and scroll down to the itunes store line, click.
Scroll down to de-authorize computer and click that line.
Enter your Itunes password (and user name if not already saved)

Return to “ITunes: How to remove a computer from the authorized list?”
