I am anticipating this is going to turn into a love/hate discussion but let's have at it.
I went out on Saturday and picked up a Sig Mosquito .22 LR after Teamless and I did a little shooting out at PSC and talked about the cost of ammo on the way home.
I looked at the Ruger, S&W, Walther, et al. but the feel of the Sig just fit the bill. I have to be honest... my two primary motives were:
1) Find something I could run ammo through on a regular basis that wouldn't break the bank
2) Get something the little woman could shoot as a starter gun that wouldn't scare her too badly
I've read numerous posts where folks had issues with FTF, etc. with this pistol but after 100 rounds today, I only saw one problem. That was when the Mrs. tried to double-clutch the slide. Once we got over that, no problems whatsoever. I used Fiocchi 40 grain, 1255 fps.
So, what are your thoughts on the "skeeter" and can you assuage my guilt for buying it in the first place. I keep trying to convince myself I did it for her...
