Re: Is it worth the additional money?

Major difference between the trigger pull and travel between a Glock and a double action revolver. Apples and oranges.

Re: Is it worth the additional money?

I don't think it has to do with going off without the trigger being pulled, it's more to do with the lack of an external safety or decocker.

Re: Is it worth the additional money?

If you have never owned a Sig you are missing out. I have a P-229, .40 I bought about 5 years ago and it has been perfect. If I could only keep one handgun it would be that one. I want some of the other ones but, you know, the budget.

Re: Is it worth the additional money?

No the LEO was not neglegent. If he was why did it do when the armorer tried it? In fairness to Glock though, what happened on that one was it fired when he chambered a round. It continued to do it and then started to slamfire. Not sure if that was related to Glocks "internal safeties" but not sure it was not.

Re: Is it worth the additional money?

I have a Glock and I won't carry it chambered. There have been accidental discharge of Glocks without violating rule 3. I remember at least one that was well documented by a police officer. His departments armorer was so skeptical he didn't even bother to go to the range with it. He just took it out into the parking lot and promptly shot a round into the pavement. A 5.5 lb trigger is a little to light for a gun with no safety. It seems like I remember when Glocks first came out most gun experts were saying Glocks required more training than guns with safeties. I believed it then and I believe it now. If it didn't hold so many rounds and it wasn't so accurate I would get rid of mine.
