I too am in I.T. and the more I have to do with these "one-eyed" monsters professionally the more I believe the exact same way as you!

While the whole world now lives and breathes with this monster, it can and does provide some really good benefits as well; such as this forum. I go home and rarely ever turn mine home unless it's to check in here or just check e-mail. (This comming from a guy who you couldn't part from one ten/twelve years ago--I was all day/all night on my computer.)

While I'm still in the field, if something ever happens to me, I'll be perfectly content to be a greeter at Wal-Mart or flip burgers at MickeyD's.

(Hmmmm... I wonder what the company policy of Wal-Mart is towards it's employee's carryin'?)
