I forgot about that, so yes, you already have a pretty good comparison to work from.

Re: Got a MiniTuck

I am going to attempt to answer some points, in the quoted text below, unless I mess it up LOL. (all items in RED are Teamless' comments )
alamo5000 wrote:OK. I am new to carrying...in fact I am waiting now for my CHL

Yesterday I finally recieved my mini tuck. I was talked into switching from the super tuck to the mini tuck so I kinda went with it.
I received my Minituck just about the same time as my plastic
I am planning on carrying a Millenium PT140.
I carry a Millenium PT111, so very similar weapons in size

My first impressions are as follows. If you have any comments please chime in.

Straight out of the box I thought 'what have I done?' meaning I thought I should have stuck with the supertuck. The mini tuck is just that... mini. It is much smaller than I thought it would be. I am 5'11 and about 190 with an adonis type build. I am not fat though, seriously, but I am a bit more stocky.
I am 5'11" and about 270, so more body to rub against
I tried the thing on and put the gun in in several locations and I moved the clips around up and down and in various locations. For me the factory settings might end up being best.

I wear it about 4 O'clock, and once I have it in place, i almost forget it is there, and agree that the factory settings work the best for me (so far)

The thing is very very concealable. Agreed! and i was shocked that even tucked not just a long T-Shirt I wore it all evening and nothing. I have found that at 5 o'clock for me its still concealable but if I bend over my shirt will ride up and snag on the handle of the gun. Also its a little harder to draw from there. Somewhere between 3 and 4 o'clock seems about right.

Quality wise I am very pleased. Except those dang J hooks. Plastic? I was thinking they would be metal like the others. Good thing I am planning on staying with the regular clips.
mine came with standard (metal) clips, and I did also order J-Clips, but found that I do not like them (or haven't figured them out yet)
Getting the thing on and off... you just about have to take your pants off to get the thing on Yes, just about, but I have found that it does get slightly easier and hopefully much easier over more time . Once you put it where its going its staying put. Agreed!

The retention and draw both are great once you get it in the right clock position for yourself Agreed!

The mini tuck has the combat cut which I have found is one thing I am questioning. That piece of leather that sticks up is the part that keeps on gouging and poking me and rubbing me. My top is wider than my my waist so it kept on rubbing me. As an experiment I tried to tuck that flap in as though it weren't there and it seemed to help a lot.
I have to use some undershirt before my holster, as it also rubs me (as I said above, more to rub against. Some have stated that Underarmor works good, and I agree, but also just a simple T-Shirt works fine, but I did get the sleeveless ones just for the heat. I also bought my with the horsehide

With the gun in and the flap tucked down I was surprised at how comfortable it was althought it kind of tugs on my jeans a little. My jeans also sag a bit, so I have just last week, ordered a belt from Crossbreed to hopefully combat this, but also I ordered it with the V-Clips (Velcro clips and velcro inner of the belt, so the metal clips do not show or catch my finger Having a good belt does make a difference. In the end if it persists that I think that flap can go, I may perform surgery.

With that being all said, what would the benefit be to swapping up to a supertuck? As far as I know, the Supertuck is a larger holster, so if the Mini is giving you a hard time, my speculation is the Super would, just more leather to rub you - Quahog has already commented a bit on this Thread, and has a Supertuck, and maybe I can let him borrow my Mini, just to see the difference IWB to make a comparative statement?? Is it REALLY that much more comfortable? I notice the cut on the super tuck would come out wider toward the butt of the gun... but that part is precisely what is rubbing me, at least the top edge of it.

Would the wider wings really make any difference or much different in comfort level? Or would it be marginal improvement?

Keep in mind that without the gun in the holster it feels fine. when the gun is IN the holster that is what forces that part up into my rib area ever so slightly.

What I really wish they would do at the supertuck/mini tuck factory is put a printable template on their webs site, or something like that. That would have taken all the guess work out of this whole super vs mini deal.
I hope my comments help some. (and that I haven't messed up the quote, with all of my comments in red inside of it
