Try not to stress over it too bad. I took the same route you did. I applied online and then submitted the supporting paperwork via USPS. As you can see in my signature, it took around 2 weeks for them to begin "processing" my application. Apparently, they do a number of pre-work steps before entering the application into the system for official processing.KinArlington wrote:Still nothing on the DPS site. I understand about the delay in the background check due to the FBI processing the census takers prints, but why does that translate to DPS still hasn't gotten my paperwork entered into the system? It's been over two weeks since they received my paperwork, and I was already in the system since I did the initial "stuff" online. I know, we're all in the same boat. Just wait, go to the range, and be happy when it DOES update.

Re: April 2010 applications
So does that apply to those of us who are in the "Manufacturing/Printing" stage? How about they send me the file and I'll get it printed and laminated at Kinkos!!redlin67 wrote:I called this morning because it seems that everything has come to a complete standstill at DPS. I think that I got ahold of this lady cause she was a little bit on the rude side . She did say that FBI background checks are still on hold because of the census thing. And she told me that the wait time is 60 days from their receipt of your application. In other words, don't be calling us and bothering us until after 60 days. Be patient, all good things come to those who wait.
