Thanks for all the input. The reason I don't think tracphone will work for us is that we do not have a hard line. I am hardly on the phone but my wife is another story.To her credit she is not a chatty person but she is involved with the little library where we live and that takes up a lot of time on the phone. So, minutes could be a problem with tracphone.

A friend told me the other day that he and his wife each got a new trac phoneI have heard of trac phones before but really never paid any attention to them. He and his wife swear by the trac phone. They say there is no contract, it uses AT&T towers, have a signal everywhere they did when they were with AT&T, no monthly fee and more. Kind of sounds to good to be true. I would appreciate any info anyone has that uses a trac phone. Thanks
