Re: Sunday Austin area range get together
Wish I could, still out of town. I'd definitely try to make the next one.

Re: Which IWB holster do you use during the summer time?
Kholster half-moon for my SR9c, with a wifebeater undershirt. Otherwise it just sticks to me, and I can't see any other leather IWB not doing the same thing. Undershirt is mandatory in my book.

Re: Past history coming back
Won't impact you at all. I got arrested in September '09 for a speeding ticket warrant that I didn't know existed (for the record, the lawyer that messed up that appeal for me ended up giving me a sizable settlement check). The charge was eventually dismissed, but I didn't bother to expunge the arre...

Re: will traffic ticket warrant affect gettin chl
Just an FYI... I got arrested back in September for a traffic warrant I didn't know existed (and seriously - I'm in the Bahamas RIGHT NOW with the trip financed by the settlement the attorney that screwed up that ticket gave me!). I took my CHL class in March and got my plastic a few weeks ago. I di...

Re: Gun belt Help
How wide is that Cabela's belt? I've got a nylon reinforced instructor belt (Uncle Mike's) that is 1-1/2", but for leather I'd like to go with 1-1/4.
TIA

Re: Kroger Walk
I carried around the house for almost two weeks. My wife, 9 year old, and 6 year old didn't have a clue. I figurred if I could conceal with people who see me every day, I could pull it off in public. I do find myself scanning OTHER people to see if THEY are carrying tho. Is this also a side effect?...

Re: March 2010 Applications
I did an HEB walk today, Walmart will have to wait until tomorrow. However, it still served the purpose of the first public carry. I put on one of my nice Hawaiian shirt (I felt silly putting it on, but Aggies know enough to respect tradition :thumbs2: ) and went in to get a few odds and ends. I not...

Re: March 2010 Applications
Thanks, AddyLo... I'm gonna knock that out this afternoon. Now, if only my Kholster would come in, because I really don't like this Uncle Mike's IWB holster. It's awful.

Re: Red's North in Austin/Pflugerville?
ARC does allow practicing from a holster, all shots must be "sighted fire", no hip shooting or speed rocks. Be advised the Supervised Practice sessions are not just show up and shoot, you must contact the practice organizer and be added to the list. I've been a member for over 13 years an...

Re: March 2010 Applications
My status changed sometime between Saturday morning and Sunday evening. You would assume nobody is working on that over the weekend, so I chalk it up to some sort of timed/scheduled backend data update.

Re: March 2010 Applications
This is worse than waiting for Santa!!!! I'll second that. Given the timelines of others, mine SHOULD be getting approved "any day now". :totap: In the meantime, I'm ordering accessories! Kholster, 5.11 carry belt, extra magazines for IDPA, tac light... Edit: you guys gave me the idea to ...
