Oh, subject line huh? O.K., I went back to the hospital and this is what the sigh says in English and Spanish: "State Law Prohibits Carrying Handguns on this Premisis. v.c.s. art. 4413 (29ee). So, what's this sign? Is is valid or something we can ignore?

For those of ya'll who sent me pm. I responded to all of them but I don't think they got through because I can't find them in my "sent" box. I've tried now several times.

Confused about signage!

My dad had surgery yesterday and when I went through the main entrance of the hospital I noticed the sign forbidding the carrying of handguns was not a 30.06 sign but rather a 44.13 sign. I looked in the most current CHL laws and can't find anything about 44.13. The law says the hospital must have a 30.06 sign (pages 36 and 37 of the 2005-2006 statutes). On page 37 the law says it's a defense to prosecution if the actor was not given notice under section 30.06. This applies to churches, hospitals, amusement park, and the meeting of a govermental entity. So, somebody needs to educate me about all this stuff please. :?: I really thought I new what the laws were.
