Washington Mutual huh ? I'll remember that, never been to one and I don't live in that area but if I do change banks, it's something to consider. They don't need my business !
BTW, I called my Credit Union where the incident at the ATM occurred (also with 30.06 postings), was trasferred to the Facility Manager, got the voice mail, left a message with name and numbers (including cell) and have never received a return call. That was over 3 weeks ago. Sounds like they just don't care.

[quote="BobCat"]Bubba,
I stored a revolver and a pistol in a safe deposit box in a bank, years ago. Was going to be "gone" out-of-town for an extended period and wanted the guns to be safe. No one ever said anything. I brought them in a brief case and no one saw them.
These days, I don't know if there are metal detectors at banks or what.
Thanks for the reply Bobcat, I was just curious. Never seen metal detectors in the banks that I use. That would sure be a problem for me !

It's good to note that the other bank I use on occasion is "Texas Bank" in Fort Worth and they do not have any 30.06 postings. Maybe I should move everything from the Educational Employees Credit Union where they have 30.06 posted at the main downtown office and the silly no firearms sign at the Weatherford branch. Vote with your dollar, so to speak !

My CU of 30+ years has non-compliant 30-06 posted at main office (no spanish verbage) but the small town branch only has the pistol picture with red markout that is so worthless. Another branch that is close to work has full compliant 30-06 posting. The mindset behind this bothers me, but I can't think of a financial reason to drop them after all these years. This will not be an easy decision. About 10 years ago while in the branch close to my work I noticed the "armed" security guard inside at a desk. I was waiting in the office area behind the guard and had the time to stare. The pistol in the guards holster was a toy. It was not noticeable at a casual glance but I had time to stare without being obvious. Everything about that problem scares me!!!!!
