The Grapevine connector project is actually a year ahead of schedule. While the construction isn't convenient (we are having a heck of a time finding a consistent lane wide enough to get our RV over 114), the problem isn't the construction. Also, the work along I-635 from just west of I-35E eastward has really started picking up speed.
I'm not sure if it was the same wrong way being reported on the radio news or not. That one killed his passenger and nearly took out a bunch of innocent people driving where they were supposed to be. He was released from JPS and is police custody for intoxication manslaughter. I'm sorry, but it should be a capitol offense.
Back to the OP. I've seen a more DPS cars in places where I never saw them before in the last 3 weeks. Our Town is notorious for is revenue mentality on speed so I'm super cautious anyway and don't mind the additional police presence.
