Perhaps. But of all of the things that I'm worried about, a mass confiscation isn't on that list. I would point to Connecticut as evidence. Neither side has suggested that all the banned weapons were handled according to the options under the ban and CT would be a more likely place for that to happen than Texas. There are a lot of things have to happen before the real possibility of that starting is in place.
