At this point months seem like days. Its wierd but it really dosent feel like it has been 60 plus days untill I think about it. :banghead:

Well called them today and I actually got somebody on the other end that was very helpfull. Seems my hold up is New Jersey. About 16 or 17 years back when I was a teenager I got to in a little trouble nothing major but since I was told to list everything down I did and so that is what is taking so long. I was told it would be another 30 days before I would see any updates. Not the best news in the world but atleast I know what the hold up is.

Well, I got fed up with waiting, so I went to the Governor's website and filled out a form to request help. The next day I received a copy of a letter sent to the head of the DPS asking them to investigate. Two business days later DPS called me (today) and said that my background check had cleared and I should have my CHL in hand in ten days. She gave me her name and asked me to please call her if I did not receive it within ten days.

So complaining to the right office got me action immediately.
I have been thinking about doing this. I am going to call them tomorrow but I already know that it is not going to help me any. I just don't want to ruffle any feathers. I don't want to make anyone mad over there at the DPS, but this is getting ridiculous 60 plus days when others here that have applied later than me have not had to wait more than 30 days or so. What do you guys think? I am really interested in your input on this.

Sent them an email yesterday about my photos to see if they recieved the second set, and they never reponded. I was going to call them today and deciede to check the website before I did and my photos finally are green. Hopefully now it wont take to long for the BG check since they have had my app for almost 2 months.

Ok so finally received the letter about my missing photos after waiting for two weeks because I moved. I sent the photos certified mail on Sat and now just waiting for the the photos to get mailed. 1 1/2 months and still waiting. Congrats to everyone who has received their plastics.

Here I am also waiting. 40 days so far. I am just waiting for them to re mail me the letter for the missing pictures since I moved while waiting for my plastic. I emailed them yesterday and got a response that the re mailed it yesterday so now to look out for the mail man so that I can send those back. Oh well the wait dosen't even bother me any more. It will get here when it gets here.
