Re: Open Carry News Tidbit
I believe that if and when OC does get passed that there will be some initial reaction, but if this is what everyone is so worried about, then you will never be ready. I seriously doubt that there will be very many open carrying anyway. Coming from a permitless open carry state, it has never been an issue there, and after the initial shock, it won't be here either.
From the KY State Constitution:
Bill of Rights, Section I
All men are, by nature, free and equal, and have certain inherent and inalienable rights, among which may be reckoned: First: The right of enjoying and defending their lives and liberties. Seventh: The right to bear arms in defense of themselves and of the State, subject to the power of the General Assembly to enact laws to prevent persons from carrying concealed weapons.

And this just in from George himself. A true patriot.
We do have the bill written and I’m going to file it soon. We are just trying to compare what we have with other versions, and also waiting on the NRA folks to look at it before we file it, because I promised to do that. Thanks for your e-mail and support.

Open Carry News Tidbit
I know a lot of you guys and gals are not proponents of "open carry", I am in favor of it. As with most, I would probably never open carry, but I would like to have that option if I chose to do so. Being from Kentucky (I got to Texas as fast as I could) where open carry is legal, none of the usual blubbering from the anti-gun liberals has ever happened. And you would be hard pressed to actually see anyone open carry there. I sent an e-mail to Rep. Lavender and got a nice response from his Legislative Director, Benjamin Pollock. Here it is;
"Representative Lavender is indeed planning to introduce open carry legislation. We plan on introducing it and making an announcement next week. Thank you for your support!"
