Re: Glock Conversion and IDPA

Thanks Jeff, I will take you up on trying the Challenger trigger, just to get a feel for it. This is nothing that has to happen today, I can make the gun work just fine the way it is. I am excited on being able to "customize" my pistol, again, not something one can do to a Sig very easily.

When you have time, maybe you can show me how the sights are supposed to work, we are talking about the little bumps on top of the slide right?:

Thanks again for the help,

Brian

Glock Conversion and IDPA

For anyone who cares...I have made the switch from a Sig 229 to a Glock 17. Dont get me wrong, I love my Sig, after all I have had her for almost 15 years with only a few stopages. The major difference between the two is that a Glock can be modified in so many ways, for instance the trigger. Try to buy a "drop in" trigger for a Sig.

That being said, what kind of trigger can I install on my Glock and still be IDPA legal? Also, can I install a mag release extension, slide release ext and a mag well extension (this adds about 5.5 ounces to the gun)?

Lastly, which brands would yall use or already use? I have found some triggers for 150 dollars and then others for 15 dollars. Whats the diff?

Thanks, Brian

remember...the perfect carry gun is the one you have when you need it.
