Re: Delay: "Disposition information"
Another problem is that people reach age 30, 40, 50, or 60 and decide to get a CHL. They find out that it is not always a pleasant, easy, quick, or cheap process. They gripe. Then they get the plastic and forget about it. The total number of CHL holders (maybe approaching 400,000 now) is a small fr...

Re: Delay: "Disposition information"
FerretRay, I'll second or third what others have said. Having gone through quite a hassle myself, I can sympathize with what you are going through. I would first call the county clerks office and talk to them. Depending on the size of the county, they might give you some information over the phone....

Re: Delay: "Disposition information"
One of these incidents occured in Alabama. Their records aren't even computerized, AFAIK. I'll have to hire an attorney there to take a walk over to the county clerk, or whatever it is they have there in gooberville. I'll have to spend more money for San Diego, Ca. Their computer database erases any...

Delay: "Disposition information"
Talk about bureacratic bull. I applied for the Tx CHL awhile back and listed a couple of offenses from over twenty years ago. A DUI and two non-violent, non-sexual misdemeanors. I get a letter of delay. Apparently I have to submit "certified copies of the judgement and sentence from the courts&...

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry
As a newbie, I found this thread very helpful in getting ideas of what I wanted to carry. Thanks a ton! I ended up with the following: - Kimber 1911 Ultra Raptor II - Hogue Grips - Wilson Combat Mags - Milt Sparks IWB VX-2 http://i964.photobucket.com/albums/ae125/deccon/IMG_4497.jpg http://i964.pho...

Save your $ and invest in a decent quality holster/belt. Check out the FIST website and prices.

Re: Best carrying position and holster suggestions
I carry a Lightweight Commander in a Milt Sparks VM II. Carried at about the 3:30 mark, just behind the right hip. A more natural draw stroke is best, especially under pressure. When I toted a Glock 19 I used Glocks own Sport holster on a nylon belt. Worked great under an untucked shirt. The 19 sat ...

Acquiring Crim. History Documents
Howdy folks. I got a letter from DPS ref. providing documentation related to a DWI and misdemeanor from the early 80's. Provide the paperwork within 90 days or my application is terminated. The DWI occured in San Diego, Ca. A check of their website shows that they purge their records system of DWI's...

Re: Dallas Arboretum Posted?
The Annoyed Woman would be less annoyed if I could take her to the Dallas Arboretum. Can anyone tell me if the arboretum is posted 30.06 or if there are any other restrictions on carrying there? The Arboretum is on two pieces of ground. 44 acres are city owned and could not legally be posted anyway...
